Aeration
Aeration is done with a machine that plugs holes in the soil surface which helps the water and nutrients to reach the bottom of roots. This method allows the roots to grow long and thick which minimizes the chance of weed growth. Spring is the best time for an Aeration application as the lawn has been on standby mode due to winter weather and it is ready for a full punch of growth. It is a highly recommended service by professionals.
Dethatching ( Power Raking )
Dethatching is a process done by a machine that combs the bottoms of grass to pull out all the dead grass. This layer of dead grass can significantly prevent oxygen, natural light, and other fertilizer-like nutrients to reach the roots and soil. This method is done once a year in early spring. Your lawn will thank you after this treatment.
